Kia Seltos facelift launched in India gets new features and designs.
Introduction
With the Seltos, its initial made-in-India vehicle, Kia completely dominated the Indian market. The medium-sized was a resounding success and established Kia as a significant participant in the automotive industry. Minor modifications have been made to the Seltos since its 2019 launch, although currently, the SUV will receive a mid-life makeover.
The improved model was already released globally last year but will be available in India in the next few months. We highlight what’s new about the upgraded SUV in light of the most recent spy image of the Seltos model year 2023 that is making the rounds online.
Panoramic Sunroof on the 2023 Kia Seltos
It was just an issue of time before Kia added this option to the Seltos, given that the market leaders Hyundai Motor Company Creta, Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara, Toyota’s Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and the MG Astor all offer a panoramic sunroof. The wait is now over. A panoramic sunroof will be standard on the 2023 Kia Seltos. The Seltos is currently offered as having an electric sunroof.
Kia Seltos 2023: Design
The Celtics now get a fresh mesh front grille from Kia. The LED taillights on the DLRs are slightly lower and built into the front grille, while the LED headlights have a new, more streamlined form. The front end of the bumper has undergone modifications and is now painted faux chrome that looks hefty. An entirely novel set of alloy tires are included on the 2023 Seltos.
The Seltos has linked lights spanning the tailgate and more aggressive-looking LED tail lamps at the back. In addition to an entirely novel faux skid plate, the back bumper has also been altered.
2023 Kia Seltos: Specifications
The Seltos have been improved by Kia to be more luxurious. The infotainment system’s interface & the driver instrument cluster will be displayed on two 10.25-inch digital displays, slated to be standard on the SUV.
The Seltos will feature the latest in driver assistance technology for safety. It has features including Rear View Monitor, Bright Headlamp Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Accident caution, 360-degree footage, Driver Attention Warning, and Advanced Accident-Avoidance Assistance (FCA) with Human and Cyclist Detection.
Kia Seltos 2023: Powertrain
After the updated BS6 Phase 2 standards went into force last month, Kia ceased manufacturing the 1.4-liter turbo petrol. Kia’s new 1.5-liter turbo engine produces 158 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. The 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 113 horsepower and the 1.5-liter diesel engine with 113 bhp will remain in the Seltos.
Kia Seltos exterior design with a facelift
The Seltos facelift features upgrades over the preceding model, including a slightly wider bumper, body-coloured inserts in the housing for the fog lamps, reworked headlamps that feature fresh LED lighting daily run lights which extend into the grille, and the fog lamps’ four-block design.
The 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, previously accessible only on the X Line level, are part of the Seltos makeover. The new inverted L-shaped taillights on the Seltos facelift are linked by an LED light bar and are similar to those on many new Kia cars.
Additionally, the Seltos features sequential turn indicators, and the reverse light has been relocated from the housing of the taillights to the updated bumper. The SUV’s tailgate has been updated, with less chrome than the previous design.
The updated interior and features of the Kia Seltos
The interior of the Seltos makeover now features a dual-screen setup with two 10.25-inch monitors, one of which is the touch infotainment system, and the other is the electronic instrument cluster. The center dashboard has also been updated with slimmer Cooling vents and a new HVAC and media panel.
While the GT Line variations have an updated black and white inside motif, the standard X Lines version has a new mint green color for the interior.
A 360-degree lens, dual-zone air conditioning, a sunroof with a panoramic view, an 8-inch heads-up display, a computer-controlled parking brake, rain-sensing wipers, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system with sound mood lights are just a few of the amenities added to the Seltos facelift.
17 ADAS features, such as lane maintenance assist, front collision warning aid, and blind spot collision warning, are included in the safety features. Additionally, it comes equipped with an ESC, Hill Assist Control, a tire temperature monitoring system, and six airbags.
