Honda Dio 125 scooter launched, price starts at Rs 83,400

Introduction

To compete immediately with the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) recently launched the brand-new Dio 125 scooter to the Indian market. For Rs 83,400 for the Basic model and Rs 91,300 for the more innovative variant, the Honda Dio 125 can be sold. These constitute the ex-showroom cost in Delhi.

 The new scooter features H-Smart keyless functionality in addition to solid design aspects. After the best-selling Activa 125 and the Grazia 125, the third 125cc scooter from the business can be bought. 

With a special ten-warranty package (3-year basic and 7-year optional extended warranty), both variations of the new item are available. Reservations for the 125cc Honda Dio have begun earnestly, and nationwide shipping should start shortly.

The Honda Dio 125 has been specially created and developed in its entirely novel 125cc form to satisfy the needs of young Indian buyers. In addition to a strong engine, the Dio 125 has an updated athletic appearance and modern technology, like the highly regarded Honda Smart Key.

Design of Honda Dio 125

The Honda Dio 125 has an identical look to the 110cc Honda Dio when it comes to styling. It had an apron-mounted headlight, chrome-covered dual exit exhaust, sleek body panels, front turn metrics, with a split-style pillion grabrail. 

Fresh new logos and images further enrich the overall look. The Dio 125 comes in a wide range of colors, featuring Sports Red, Matte Avengers Blue Metallic, Matte Deep Ground Grey Metallic, Finish Sangria Red Metallic, as well as Pearl Siren Blue.

A 125cc, single-cylinder, cooled-by-air engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology drives the Honda Dio 125. 

While the present-day 125cc engines found on the Honda Grazia 125 and the Activa 125 provide a maximum horsepower of 8.14bhp and a maximum torque of 10.3Nm, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter of India are yet to disclose exact power and torque figures concerning the Dio 125. 

The 125cc engine complies with OBD2 standards and features improvements, including a Honda ACG starter, greater tumble flow, reduced friction, improved combustion process, and the use of solenoid valves.

For the suspension, the Honda Dio 125 has telescoping front forks and a single rear spring that may be loaded in three steps. 

The Smart variant comes from a petal-style front disc brake, whereas the standard variant features drum-type brakes at both ends. With an 18-liter under-seat storage box and a front pocket for improved convenience, both versions offer plenty of space for storage.

Features of the Honda Dio 125

The Standard and Smart versions are the two choices for the Honda Dio 125 versions. The Standard variant includes amenities like an integrated headlamp beam & passing switch, a digital meter dashboard, an LED headlight, an idle-stop system, a side-stand indicator with motor cut-off, and a combined braking system.

 In addition, the intelligent version has extra features such as H-Smart technology and is equipped with abilities like brilliant find, keyless begin, and safety technologies.

Dio has an enormous number of clever features that enhance the riding experience. A fully digital meter maintains users up-to-date and connected by offering current data at a glance. The Side Stand with Engine Inhibition offers safe operation by avoiding unintentional starts, and its Idling Stop System assists in preserving fuel by mechanically turning the engine off when it is idle.

Dio’s Combi-Brake System (CBS) featuring Equalizer, which evenly distributes braking force for safe and controlled stops, further enhances safety and control.
